Stars of Romance: Maria Veretenina and Daniel Julle concert

This concert is dedicated to one of the most beloved of genres — romance.

The musicians will perform romantic songs from the repertoire of Anna German (a famous popular Polish singer), as well as Russian folk songs, Estonian, Italian and Spanish music.

The musicians will offer the audience the enjoyment of a live performance of classical works and music. The uniqueness of these duetists lies in the fact that they perform music from their hearts, passionately. They appeal to everyone whether they are exploring music for the first time, or have more sophisticated tastes.

You will hear the unique voice of Maria Veretenina, who has an exceptionally dramatic talent – a range of 5 octaves; and the virtuosity of the Polish classical professional guitarist Daniel Yulle, who is making his debut in the UK.

Maria Veretenina is a famous Estonian born coloratura soprano and a prize winner in international and national world music competitions. Maria made her debut on the opera stage in 2011 at the Finnish National Opera. Maria has sung in many of the world’s finest music venues including the Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, the Chamber Opera in Vienna, the Royal College of Music and St. John’s Smith Square in London, Zaragoza Concert Hall, Astrakhan Philharmonia and the Estonian opera and Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn. In 2019, Maria gave a sold-out solo concert at the Mariinsky Theatre’s new stage in the main Concert Hall in St Petersburg and a concert in the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow which was broadcast live on Russian TV.

Daniel Julle has taken part in the master classes of famous maestros; among them Nikita Koshkin (Russia), Costas Cotsiolis (Greece), Alvaro Pierri (Uruguay), Miguel Angel Jimenez (Spain), Reinbert Evers (Germany). He actively performed as a soloist and ensemble player during his studies. He has played in various chamber and guitar ensembles (duos, trios and quartets), and has performed concerts in Estonia, Russia and Poland.
