Playwright Ivan Vyrypaev launches grants for theatre professionals
The Teal House Foundation, an initiative by actress Karolina Gruszka and playwright Ivan Vyrypaev, has announced the launch of the Art Integration grant programme. Designed to support theatre professionals forced to leave their home countries, the programme aims to help them rebuild their careers in Europe.
Art Integration is intended to assist theatre practitioners from Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. It provides support with adaptation, project funding, and mentorship from leading experts in the theatre industry.
“Starting life from scratch and rebuilding a creative career in a new country is never easy, and we understand this all too well. We developed this competition to help theatre artists bring their projects to new audiences while receiving professional support and establishing new connections,” says Vyrypaev.
Applications are open until 10 January 2025. To apply, candidates must submit a project description, CV, and portfolio. Out of all submissions, 25 projects will move on to the next stage, with five winners announced in mid-May. The winners will receive grants to bring their visions to life.
Participants will also benefit from guidance by mentors in the professional sphere. The expert panel includes Ivan Vyrypaev, Klara Zerbach, Karolina Ochab, Gilles Morel, and Vasilka Bumbarova. For further details, visit the competition website.
