First performed in Montreal in 2009, OVO quickly became a global hit, thanks to its light storyline, hypnotic choreography and lively musical score. The show centres on the arrival of a mysterious egg that turns an entire ecosystem upside down — and at its heart is a touching love story between an awkward fly and a flamboyant ladybird.
Earlier this year, news emerged that Cirque du Soleil may soon find a permanent home in the West End. The historic Saville Theatre is reportedly being considered as its future base in London. Read more here.
Cirque du Soleil — the Canadian troupe founded by street performers in Quebec in 1984 — has long since redefined what a circus can be. Eschewing animal acts in favour of contemporary theatre, the company blends breathtaking acrobatics, dance, and immersive visual storytelling. Over the past 40 years, Cirque du Soleil has become the world’s most recognisable circus brand, with over 200 million people across 60 countries having witnessed its shows. It’s the perfect winter escape — a vibrant journey into the tropics, tailor-made for the whole family.
