A mysterious new nightclub to open in London’s historic Saville Theatre

The legendary Saville Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue is about to get a second life — and it might soon host a mysterious new nightclub. Built in 1931, the building has seen performances by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. In 1970, it was converted into the Odeon cinema. Afisha.London recently reported on plans to restore the theatre — and now new details have emerged.

The team behind Secret Cinema is set to open an immersive late-night cultural venue called “lost”. For now, details remain under wraps: all we know is that the opening is coming soon, and cryptic teasers have already started appearing on social media. Judging by the collective’s previous projects, guests can expect more than just a nightclub — it’s likely to be a fully immersive experience blending art, music and cinema. The organisers seem intent on reconnecting the building with its history, when legendary musicians once took to its stage.

Previously, the Lost collective staged secret events around London — including a surprise Miley Cyrus concert and screenings of Wim Wenders films. Their new, enigmatic venue is expected to open very soon.
