A Live Showcase in support of Young Epilepsy

We are excited to present you an early Christmas special, filled with laughter and fun. There will be a stand up comedians and music artists performing on the night.

Cosmo

Cosmo, an up and coming music artist from North West London. His music abilities are sensational for only been doing music for 2 months. There are many clips of him singing on instagram @cosmo11_ you be the judge!

The line up of comedians include:

Sukh Ojla

Sukh is a comedian, actor and writer. She has a smooth, characterful RP and also speaks fluent Punjabi.

Sukh recently appeared as regular role Nurse Barratt on the BBC1 sitcom Hospital People. She also played Mrs Karim in the feature film Victoria and Abdul alongside Judi Dench, which came to the cinemas in September 2017. Her previous acting credits include Future Conditional (Old Vic), Black Mirror (Channel 4) and Eastenders (BBC).

Sukh regularly performs stand up around London and the UK, including performances at the Alchemy Festival and BBC Asian Network’s sold out show at the Watford Palace Theatre. New play Pyar Actually, written by and starring Sukh, toured the UK in 2017 and will be returning for more performances in the Summer of 2018. Sukh will also be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the Free Fringe later this year.

Vitaly Filipskiy

Vitaly is a London-based Russian comedian. With background in comedy sketches, Vitaly dived into the London stand-up scene in 2017; with his hard-working attitude, he performed at over 100 nights across the UK in his first stand-up year. His dry and well-crafted jokes allowed him to win King Gong competitions at The Comedy Store London and The Comedy Store Manchester, as well as Blackout competition at Up The Creek Comedy Club.

Victor Daniel

Victor started his stand-up career in 1999 and hasn’t looked back since, becoming a regular in the circuit’s top venues such as The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Comedy Café, Up The Creek and the Hackney Empire.

His comedy has seen him perform in New York and reach the finals of some of the UK’s best known comedy competitions. He has also featured as a writer on the BBC’s Gina Yashere Show and the Angie Le Mars sketch show ‘Big Sister’.

He is the creator, writer and director of the highly successful Hackney Empire The United Colours of Comedy, which is now being developed by the BBC New Comedy Unit.

He is also a regular at the live ‘BBC Comedy Presents’ shows in the Soho Revue Bar.

Kazeem is an up coming stand up comedian from south London. He hosts regular comedy shows across London and is is taking over the comedy circuit by storm. Follow him on social media @kazeemjamalcomedian

Ali Woods

A London based comedian who has performed at many popular clubs including: The Comedy Store, 99 Club, Up The Creek, Comedy Carnival, Backyard Comedy Club.

Ali was the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2017 Runner-up and BBC New Comedy Award 2018 Nominee. Ali Woods is on a crusade to get people to complain less and help more, he’s arrogant but with a heart of gold… he thinks. Woods most recently performed as part of the AAA showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

He writes and performs with a surreal approach, telling truthful stories that have made his audiences, stand up and applaud, re-think their position, cry, angry and laugh. Originally from Atlanta, his turbulent personal experiences have enabled countless controversial and hilarious anecdotes, that inform his deeply realist-nihilist comedic style.

With a confronting yet upbeat honesty, he unapologetically grapples with topics like sex & sexuality, politics & society, humanity’s hypocrisies, death, suicide, drug use, depression, and mental illness. His non-traditional approach has earned him opportunities to perform all over the globe. He’s accrued numerous self-produced narrative projects including short films, podcasts, and a developing series.
