RiskLab: a telematic performance about risk in art
RiskLab: a telematic performance about risk in art
How can performing arts dismantle the distance created by political oppression and forced immigration using technology? How can we create a piece of art while not being able to be in the same room with our collaborators?
RiskLab is Ada Mukhina’s telematic performance that aims to critically engage with the nature of risk, to give a platform to artists who are taking risks, culminating in a performance which demonstrates the use of technology in bringing together these artists and audience in dialogue.
“Telematic” refers to a live performance that uses telecommunication technology to bring performers from different places together. For each performance, Ada invites a guest risk-taking artist from a different country to join her online.
4 October 9 pm: guest artist – Anis Hamdoun, a director and writer (Syria / Germany).
5 October 9 pm: guest artist – Abhishek Thapar, a theatre maker, puppeteer and artist (India / Netherlands).
Be prepared for a series of artistic provocations that invite you to think, make decisions and take action. Welcome to RiskLab! We are here to explore #risk #liveness #honesty
