UnprinTSYpled Readings — God Save the Queens
A notably raucous literary-theatrical project of Russia is coming to London! UnprinTSYpled readings — Russia’s best actors perform contemporary Russian prose on stage. 55 actors and more than 100 performances in 12 countries so far. London will get to see the sensational program — ‘God Save the Queens’. Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Victoria Isakova, and Anna Mikhalkova — the three ‘queens’ of Russian film and theater will read famous and new short stories of best-selling author and the founder of the project, Alexander Tsypkin. Tsypkin himself will perform a number of his short stories.
Ingeborga Dapkunaite. First recognition and the all-Union fame came to Ingeborga after her appearance in the legendary soviet drama film “Intergirl” (1089). The world recognition came in 1995 after her main role in “Burnt by the sun”. The film received the Grand Prix at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival, the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and other honours. Dapkunaite was invited to act in “Mission Impossible” with Tom Cruise. Later in “Seven Years in Tibet”, her partner was Brad Pitt. Her heroes’ imagines combine tragedy and mystery, tenderness and strength, beauty and mind. They amaze with their depth of character and internal potential.
Victoria Isakova. Actress got several prestigious awards and prizes for her cinema and theatre rolls. “Chaika” (“Seagull”) for the play “ Viy”), international Chicago award “Silver Hugo” (for the film “Point”), the award “Triumph”, the Natalia Gundareva’s award, the film award “Nika”, the Association of film and TV producers award (for the TV soap opera “The Thaw”). The image of Marina Tsvetaeva acted by Victoria in the drama “Mirror” became genius. Critics agreed Victoria managed to reveal the dissimilarity of Tsvetaeva. Victoria works hard — she plays in theatres, acting in films and works on TV as the TV host.
Anna Mikhalkova. Her roles in “Live And remember” by Alexander Proshkin, “Kokoko” by Avdotya Smirnova and “Love with accent” by Rezo Gigineishvili brought critics’ recognition to Anna Mikhalkova. Anna received the “Golden Eagle” award in the category “Best female role” for the part in “Connection”. It was a breakthrough in Anna’s career. Once in the interview Anna admitted, she always liked the atmosphere of the set. And she takes any role she is offered without any hesitate. So, there are many episodic rolls in her filmography. We can see Anna Mikhalkov in “About love” (with John Malkovich), in horror movie “Lost place”, the drama “Selfie” with Konstantin Khabensky and Julia Khlynina.
