The largest Henry Moore exhibition in history is coming to London

From May to September 2026, Kew Gardens will host the largest-ever exhibition dedicated to Henry Moore “Monumental Nature”, exploring the powerful relationship between sculpture and the natural. Thirty of Moore’s monumental sculptures will be installed outdoors – just as the artist intended, surrounded by nature.

Inside the Shirley Sherwood Gallery, visitors will also find 90 additional works, ranging from etchings to carved figures. Meanwhile, Wakehurst, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex, will present a complementary sculpture trail, including newly commissioned pieces by contemporary artists.

From iconic Reclining Figures and towering abstractions to rarely seen sketches, this landmark event is presented in collaboration with the Henry Moore Foundation.

The exhibition opens on 9 May 2026 and runs until 27 September. But there’s plenty to enjoy at Kew Gardens even before then: in August, join the Summer Cycle, and look forward to the family-friendly Halloween celebrations and festive Christmas events.
